The other day, I am importing an .wim image captured via SCCM Capture Media into MDT 2012. The image is imported without any error but it doesn’t appear on the console. Reason being is because the .wim image captured by SCCM Capture Media included the 100mb system reserve partition of Windows 7. MDT 2012 having difficulty to read and extract the information of the image and showing it on the console.
I used a tool called GImageX 2.0.17 which is FOC and you can download it here. This tool can helps to delete the partition inside the .wim image.
Launch the GImangeX and navigate to the Info tab. Click Browse and select the .wim image.
Click Get Info once the .wim image selected.
From the WIM Information gathered, I can see my .wim image has 3 partitions.
Navigate to the Delete tab, and Browse to the .wim image.
For my case, I need to delete Image 1 based on the information gathered earlier. Make sure Image 1 is selected and then click Delete.
Now Navigate back to the Info tab, Browse to the .wim image and click Get Info. The system reserve partition have been deleted.
After I deleted the system reserve partition, I re-import the .wim image into the MDT 2012. The OS is now appear on the MDT 2012 console.
followed the same , it works for me . thanks
